Long interview at YouTube

Radio 4 (Netherlands) interviewed Andreas Scholl and his wife, the pianist/harpsichordist and Bach scholar, Dr Tamar Halperin, at their home/studio in Kiedrich, in Germany's Rheingau. Andreas Scholl sings some songs live with Tamar at the keys. Dutch, German and English language. Mainly Dutch.

BBC Music Magazine Award 2012

Andreas Scholl won in the vocal category for his Decca disc O Solitude with Accademia Bizantina.

BBC Music Magazine's Rebecca Franks comments: "Few can equal the sheer beauty of tone and dramatic instinct displayed by Andreas Scholl. From the unsettlingly breathless account of What power art thou from King Arthur to the gloriously serene Evening Hymn, Scholl illuminates every nuance of Purcell’s music in this beautifully programmed recital."
